E-Bike Headlight Not Working

Switch, plug, wire or the light itself

Quick answer

Make sure the light is switched on from the display, then check its plug and wire. If those are fine, test or replace the light, matching your bike's light voltage.

  1. Switch it on from the display
  2. Check if it's a separate light
  3. Look for an error code

In plain English

Most e-bike headlights are powered by the bike's battery through the controller or display, and are switched on with a display button (your manual says which, often a long press). Some are separate, battery-powered lights. When a powered light stops working, the cause is usually the switch setting, a loose or wet plug, or a damaged wire.
